Variegated leaves at base of usual Taberna plant

Variegated leaves at base of usual Taberna plant

I was quite surprised to see these variegated leaves at the base of usual Taberna plant. This is a Taberna plant with larger leaves and flowers. All the leaves hitherto were dark green.
Now two things are unusual. One, the leaves are springing up at the base of the plant than at the top. Secondly, they are variegated leaves in a plant which had only dark green leaves so far. I am curious to know whether these leaves will become usual types of leaves later or will it continue like this and produce a whole new branch with only variegated leaves! Shall post updates later if there is anything interesting.
