Red anthurium flower
Anthurium andraeanum can remove formaldehyde, xylene, toluene, and ammonia from the air. It is an important ornamental flower. The large brightly coloured part is actually a spathe leaf and the protruding part is the inflorescence which bears tiny flowers. The inflorescence is called spadix.
