Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) sapling – very early stage
|Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) sapling – very early stage
Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) sapling just emerging from husk containing the seeds. One husk will contain two seeds. It seems from this zoomed image that there are two saplings side by side and roots appear exposed. I have covered the roots with a bit of soil after taking the photograph.
I had planted few seeds bought online in three pots. This is the first one to germinate. Though recommendation is to split the husk and soak in water before planting, these were planted directly. But I poured water three times a day initially and twice or once a day subsequently to cover the lack of pre soaking and splitting! Shall post updates later if this sapling grows well.
