Chili plant (Capsicum annuum) fruit maturing
|Chili plant (Capsicum annuum) fruit maturing
Chili plant (Capsicum annuum) flower posted on 29-12-2020 has borne fruit and it is maturing. This plant on the left looks very unhealthy, while the one nearby is continuing to flower. Other flowers have not borne fruits so far. Growth of both plants are stunted as well. Planning to keep this fruit till it is ripe and try planting in another location. Had tried turmeric spray presuming that the growth is stunted due to some parasite, but no luck!
My attempt to grow chili from seeds bought online did not succeed. Had tried usual chili and the large variety of capsicum without the pungent taste. None of the seeds germinated. These two plants were bought from a local nursery. Vermi compost and my local compost with ash had been applied, but the response is not good. Let me see if this fruit gives seeds which will germinate.
